How do Cavaliers fans generally feel about Lebron James choosing to go to the Miami Heat?
I know most Cavaliers fans are generally upset (saw one guy setting James' Cavaliers jersey on fire after his announcement that he was going to Miami).
But, are there any Cavaliers fans who are okay with his decision and view it as Lebron James doing what is best for himself, which is to try and win championships?
Also, when Lebron returns next season to play at the Cavaliers home arena, do you think the fans there will boo him?
I would say that most Cavalier fans are very disappointed. Cavs owner Dan Gilbert said that James was selfish, and heartless, and that he "gave up" against the Celtics in the playoffs. Lebrons team mate Mo Williams even tweeted, "We really loved you man, how could you do this to us?"
The fans are obviously upset with his departure, but i wouldn't say it was entirely the fact he went to Miami. It was the way he left that made the fans so upset. I think he should of told the team in advance, instead of breaking the news on an hour long special on espn. Im just saying, the situation could have been handled better than it was.
I'm sure there are some Cavs' fans out there who are supporting James decision and are okay with it, but the general mood in Cleveland is a mix of anger and disappointment.
As for the Heat visiting the Cavs next year, the fans fell like he betrayed them and they will boo him. But James is a grown man. He is happy with his decision and he will get over it.
